Define and improve foam injection process including equipment, tools and material
Supervise equipment installation, in cooperation with Plant Manufacturing Engineering.
Analyses technological innovations in the fields of foaming material and technology. Be the Interface with Suppliers, Technical Purchasing and Plant Maintenance.
Perform the injection workability analysis of new Products.
Support efficiency programs and Quality improvements in cooperation with Plant Manufacturing Engineering.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process quality by designing material acceptance test, foam injected product, process calibration and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. .
Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data.
Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Prepares specifications and quotations for labour, tooling and equipment to support manufacturing requirements ( especially in the area of stamping and presses)
Participates in engineering design reviews and evaluates and approves material specification, process sheet and other documents.
Designs and procures tools/equipment and works with finance to obtain appropriation requests.
Evaluates and solves production problems associated with material properties, Machine maintenance, tool maintenance and/or process parameters. Implements root cause analysis and engages manufacturing associates and maintenance technicians in problem solving methods.
Conducts training to introduce new injection material, new tool concept or new injection technology.
Troubleshooting: perform root cause analysis to prevent, correct and improve
Analyze and interpret data to make engineering recommendations regarding performance or process improvements
