Junior Sous Chef - Renaissance Hotel Cairo | Egypt Jobs

1. Assist Executive chef in assigning, coordinating and supervising all phases of food production.
2. Maintain food quality and service in accordance with standardized company recipes and procedures in all areas.
3. Ensure that all associates follow safe work practices.
4. Supervise proper breakdown and usage of all leftover foods.
5. Promotes and maintains effective communication between all the departments in the hotel.
6. Maintains budgeted cost and profit margins in all mentioned areas.
7. To ensure that all the policies and procedures of the company are upheld.
8. To have a well groomed appearance at all times and to have a pleasant smiling attitude towards all guests.
9. Practices and strictly enforces the "Clean as you go" policy.
10. To maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene.
11. Checks out all workstations at beginning and end of each shift. Ensures adequate set-up for breakfast, lunch and dinner business.
12. Insists that all preparation and set-up is ready for service in advance of meals.
13. Effectively enforces and supervises the writing of all checklist's for the entire area of responsibility.
14. Supervises proper utilization of production. Use records in respect of actual amounts and additional preparation needed.
15. Constantly spot-checks of food and service during meal periods. Insists that the food meets the requirements of portion, control and quality.
16. To assist conduction of daily taste panels in cooperation with the Dining room Manager.
17. Coordinates menu classes, on a regular basis to give and receive suggestions.
18. Aid in cross training for all food production employees.
19. Administer the handling of associate challenges in conjunction with company policies.
20. Above all to lead by example through a "hands on" approach to motivate our associates to excel.
21. Perform any other similar duties management may reasonably assign to.

23. Comply with any reasonable request given by an Executive Committee Member.
24. Actively participate in the hotel's emergency organisation and procedures if so instructed by hotel management and perform the tasks so assigned by management in those situations.
