1.Advance and assist with long-term plans and short-term goals for the distribution function.
2.Coordinate distribution activities among various departments and divisions; resolve conflicting needs; provide guidance to prioritize needs.
3.Develop and monitor schedules; issue status reports; investigate problems; develop solutions.
4.Manage and develop the distribution network and optimize route planning.
5.Develop/enhance work flow procedures; train new staff in the use of new trends in distribution.
6.Prepare reports and analyses of distribution processes, adverse trends, and make appropriate recommendations or conclusion.
7.Proper allocation; Utilization of resources to adapt the changing needs.
8.Establish effective record keeping policies and procedures; maintain standards to ensure accurate order entry, shipment tracking, and timely delivery of materials.
9. Direct the work of fulfillment and distribution staff; monitor performance; conduct annual performance assessments.
10.Develop processes to identify customer problems; develop solutions; evaluate quality of work throughout the fulfillment and shipping process; establish productivity standards.
11.Establish safety and security programs for the distribution facility.
12.Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
