Function & responsibilities:
§ Visit to all electrical and power units at the sites maintenance.
§ Detect malfunctions and defects in electrical systems or generators and repairing the same.
§ Manage and assisting team members and contractors to service and repair all machines and equipment
§ Manage stores inventory for service repairs and maintenance
§ Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documents.
§ Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment.
§ Provide technical advice, assistance and training on efficient machine operating procedures, trouble shooting and repair procedures as well as non-machine operation e.g. Plant layout, equipment and fabrication procedures
§ Writing weekly performance report and submitting it to the General Manager at month end.
§ Develop and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
Other duties & responsibilities:
§ Ensure that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.
§ Establish and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
§ Communicate regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
§ Assess required maintenance tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipment
§ Forecast of spare parts needs
§ Assess the needs for equipment replacements and establish replacement programs when due
§ Ensure a safe working environment for all
